Kevin, keep an eye on gunbroker.com, recently there have been two Boys ATR for sale, one a DEWAT, the other still functional. The DEWAT had a buy-it-now price of around $5,000.00usd and the functional one was $9,500.00usd if memory serves me correct. I have a Boys that has been converted to .50 BMG, although I haven't had a desire to sell it, everything is always for sale for the right price. PM me if you're interested in making me an offer I can't refuse.

Regards, Derek.

The dewat one wasn't really a dewat....the receiver was registered if I recall as a destructive device.

While the US is a good source for Boys rifles for people with deep pockets, the export laws for the US make it hard to impossible for exports of 50 cal and up rifles in general, and for specific military rifles, of which the Boys rifles seem to be on the list. Numrich arms was not even able to send me a pistol grip for the Boys rifle.

I'm glad I got mine out of the US before the export laws were firmly entrenched and the price of these rifles went crazy. I do wish I had purchased an Inglis made one though.

Kevin, check out this website:

http://www.conjay.com/Collectors%20Weapons.htm

There is scant info whether the rifle is still for sale, asking price, or if it's even London ENGLAND but if it's in Ol' Blighty then half the battle is won.

Cheers, D :cheers:erek.

They're ba-ack!

The two Boys are back for sale on Gunbroker.com. The "DEWAT" is bid up to $3,000.00 with a Buy-It-Now price of $5,500.
Check out Auction # 206488329 if you're interested. I placed DEWAT in parentheses as the receiver hasn't been cut so in the eyes of the BATF&E, it's still a functional firearm.

Cheers, Derek.
