I after reading many posts here for that past several months I felt that I should introduce myself and share some pics of my carrier and some of the kit and ces that I have recently acquired.
I purchased Brad Mills Canadian Mk1. In my opinion it is an amazing restoration whose engine simply purrs. Attachment 43498 Attachment 43499 Attachment 43500 I have been collecting weapons for years and only now have purchased a WWII fighting vehicle. I was watching the History channels Top Ten Fighting vehicles and noticed that the carrier was number 7. It should a great deal of footage of the carrier having 50 cals mounted. So having a 50 I acquired a mount. A little over kill and not original standard equipment...it was used extensively. Attachment 43501 So what do you think..over kill? The mount has been adapted to slide up and off the carrier. Yesterday I stopped by a buddys house who I know through gun collecting and knowing he had a carrier many years ago I scooped up many pieces of kit and ces items that were not with the carrier when I bought it. I understand some of the stuff is very rare. Attachment 43502 |

and finally I had to have these gas cans. very nicely marker.
Attachment 43513 Attachment 43514 So that's what I picked up yesterday. I think it was a very good day. Hope to talk to you all at some point. Just wanted to share. Thanks Alan Duffy |
that's about as good a carrier as you are ever likely to find in my opinion and i also like the 50.cal mount, (a typical field modification) not bad for a first vehicle :note: welcome to the carrier owners club.
all the best rick |
The .50 looks good on the carrier. And a real good carrier too!

Thanks guys,
Unfortunately I dont have the time, patience or physical resources to restore vehicles. I can and do appreciate the history behind all that I have and want to get. For instance I have recently picked up a 1960 Ferret Scout Car Mk2/3. There are many around but to find one that is in great shape and one with a verifiable and very interesting history is a challenge. I found that Ferret and have actually licenced it for the road (Ontario). |
Welkom Alan,
I'ts a lovely carrier you have. I hope you will have a lot of pleasure with it. Regards, Paul |
