Collapsible Stairs - M37...??

Does anyone know the exact application for these stairs? I believe they were designed for use on the back of a 3/4 ton Dodge (M37), possibly when configured with the C42 sets in the cargo box. I cannot figure out how the stairs would attach to the truck. Were additional brackets required to attach these stairs? Any help is greatly appreciated.

They were on the back of the command post version (M152). There are a pair od indents on the floor at the doorway with bars running through that the steps hook on to. For an M37, I think you would have to notch the tailgate.

Thanks Rob. I think you may have told me that before, but my brain was full at the time. Thanks for filling in the blanks... again!

Perhaps another related question: do you know what style if steps were used on the M37 when it carries the S-318G (CRTTZ) shelter in the back? I have not seen a photo showing the rear of the vehicle with the shelter.

If you are looking for one they are mostly found in the US for the M37 and the CUCV that had the shelter in the back and most of the time they show up at swap meets and are commonly known as a Boarding Ladder. Here are a couple pics I found on the web.

Wayne, if you need a boarding ladder I might be able to hook you up.
