Windshield Rubber

I purchased a 50 foot roll of 3/4 inch Tee shaped rubber molding for the windshields, It fits beautifully into the channel around the window of my Cab 13. If anyone is in need of some just PM me ....I will provide it a my cost. I am not here to make a profit. I will post a pic or 2 in the next thread....gone to find camera.

Cheers from the Home of the Ford CMP

You have to wonder.....

You have to wonder about a company that keeps making parts for a "wartime expedient" truck 64 years after production ended. But I'm glad that they do it.
Can you imagine trying to find any more specialized part than a nut or bolt for a current production truck in 64 years.

Hi Grant

Last time I found a roll of this stuff at a glass shop I asked why they had it in stock? Guy said every thing from shower doors, to trucks, to heavy equipment. But I like the idea of the interchangeability of CMPs with shower doors.

The windhsield seals for the M35 truck can be stretched to fit, and are one piece. I believe the windhield weather strip for the M939 will also work, although you will have to trim the length of the ends: http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/wifrruseform.html

Spaenaur website is here: https://spaenaur.com/

The page with the weatherstrip in question (no 4530) is here: https://spaenaur.com/pdf/sectionK/K7.pdf

If you don't need 100 feet of it, then you may want to just order it from Brian Asbury, or else order M-series ones form ebay.

Hi Werner

Just a thought to check locally would be glass shops that do farm equipment. Or glass shower enclosures you may find that they have a roll of the T seal on the shelf.

Cheers Phil

Werner,
Enough fresh weatherstrip to do the front windshield of an 11 or 12 Cab: $US 33 including airmail postage to Norway. If you have a Cab 13 then more money. ......... Brian
