Yes

Lang, you have spotted a few more vehicle types ! I didn't see.

OOPS the link is missing for the colour film , its AWM code is F03437

https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/F03437/

The colour YMCA film has scenes of the SWB Blitz crossing the river , this is interesting , it's in a 2 tone camo livery. The light browny shade and darkish green would be ? what official colours . I think this may have been filmed on Bougainville or nearby. They also have been issued 2 jailbar trucks, in a darkish jungle green .

Free to download for future reference .

Tobruk

Tobruk scenes including a ship under attack and sinking , Stuka's probably as the bombing is very accurate

A Humber PU as well .

Tip

I've found that the search words:

Lebanon, Syria , Beirut and El Alamein will find interesting movies in the AWM collections engine . The film makers in this time period were usually either Damien Parer or Frank Hurley , two famous film makers . I believe that Hurley had been criticized for his 'faking' or 'set up' of scenes , there were occasions where he would go out of his way to direct the action , even with exploding props involved .Parer did not survive WW2 , he was killed filming in the Pacific .

Hi

You tube has a nice AWM video on the M24 Trials in Bougainville.

Yes dads army . Most annoying thing with many of these amateur films is the camera person often can't resist pointing the camera at things like old ruins , the ruins don't move , so why not use a still camera instead of wasting precious movie film on static scenery.
