That is interesting, it is only early February 1945 and there is already questions about disposals.
If you go by the text, if you wanted a truck you would think there wouldn't be much available, you certainly wouldn't get a car. This changed a fair bit after the war though.
There were some new trucks available as my Dad bought a new lend lease Ford, a red one, as he was working as an essential service. He bought it in 1944, Mum still has the original hire purchase documents some where. I own his truck now, since Dad passed away.
I also own a lend lease Chev that was purchased new, by the Eising family in 1944 it is painted a very dark blue, with cream grille. I have seen two other lend lease Chevs with the exact same paint colour and the same body/tray modifications. The Chev retained all blackout lighting.
The whole paper is an interesting read, Golden Fleece saved the day with their oil, International had new trucks for sale.
