MLU FORUM - GMC truck on Iceland

A query sent to the MLU Admin Office:

Good morning.

I am in difficulties with a GMC truck, 4X2 that appeared on a picture from the past. I have not been able to place it within any of the documents I can access, not civilian or military from the WW2 era. I would appreciate if you could guide me to the correct definition of this issue.

The main thing is that the truck was ruined many years ago and nobody is alive that remembers it in action or can explain to me details.

The truck was said of 1947 year model but it had 6 bolt like military type of front hubs.

I am attaching a picture of it. Please ignore the Icelandic type of cab but the rest of it, the cowl, hood and the rest of the front end what the picture shows is authentic, showing 1941 to 1947 civilian model front end.

All forum pages cover more or less only Chevrolet, GMC 6X6 trucks and the 1939 to 1940 types of GMC 4X2 and I have not been able to get proper information.
