Zip Disks on sale at Cnd Tire
 

Saw these listed in the weekly Cnd Tire flyer. Sale ends Sunday. This is by far the best price I've seen them at. I'm thinking if I use a lot of them others might be too.

With ZIP discs it seems you get what you pay for. I used a bunch of 2 3/8 oilfield tubing making a commercial greenhouse for my daughter. I started with a 14" DeWalt disc and cut off over 80 of the pipes before discarding it. Next I used a no-name and it lasted for a half dozen cuts then there was nothing left. A Forney made about a dozen as did a Makita so I found another DeWalt. After 50 or so cuts it's still going strong. Lesson learned!

For one horrible moment I thought this was about the removable disks for the Iomega Zip drive (infamous for its 'click of death' failure mode which not only made the current disk unreadable but also caused that disk to destroy any other drive it was subsequently used in). :doh:

I guess it's a good thing we're not all computer nerds----LOL
