Can someone I.D. these items please.
The first pair of cable brackets are different in that one takes 2 cables, while the other is for a single cable. Is the last one a horn bracket? |

What about these bits?
The first 4 parts in the 2nd photo are hand brake pawls. What from? |

Brackets
A couple of Loyd bits ( brackets ), I think, cheers Andrew.
|
top one left is choke cable bracket for MK 1* carrier.
|
Thanks Maurice. One holds 2 cables, the other only one. Is one British (Solex carb) and the other for the Canadian carb? The double one looks like two cables would interfere with each other. Does it just cater for an optional mounting angle?
Can someone enlighten me? |
the two slotted nuts with shoulders look like vision slot window mechanism on carriers.

Dave, Nope! They're not unfortunately. I'd think they'd be from brake cables.
They have a 1/4" BSF thread and the big dia is 15/16". The "spigot' part (fits in a hole?) is about 9/16" They make me think of Morris handbrake, but not quite the same. The first item is a weld nut (3/8" UNF) The square headed bolt is 1/2" UNF (Ford car brake backing plate?) The brass (bronze?) plug is 9/16" UNF (18tpi) This stuff came from a place that was mostly war surplus (WWII) |
