Malcolm, you might like to revisit the thread? I'd suggest 7/16" BSF (18 tpi)

I checked the thread in the clevis I posted the sketch of. Definitely 1/2"-13 UNC. I see this does not match the 7/16" BSF specified in the Carrier parts manual. I don't know why. This is a Canadian Mk II Carrier, built by Ford in Windsor, Ontario, and restored many years ago by the Ontario Regiment Museum. Malcolm |
Malcolm as far s I know, there aren't any 1/2" rods in the riveted carriers (not so sure about late production or T16)
If it has the part number on it, then someone has drilled and tapped it. It would work in an Australian pattern carrier. |
