Actually rain does make the filming interviews exercise very difficult. MUD! |
I thought there might have been a few photo's of Corowa by now or at least a report. "What's happening over there". what's the weather like, what strange and unusual vehicles are there, who broke down on the way, who got into trouble from their missus for not telling her you we going. These are the thing we need to know. :confused :) :)

Corowa 2014
Lots of people and vehicles here, some interesting ones too, seen here for the first time like Bob Schutt's Ford C11ADF, there's a F60S tipper, 3 cab 12s, two of them F60L and a C8 newly arrived from Perth.
I've been shooting interviews since I arrived this morning. There have already been some stories about difficulties along the way including a Nissan bonnet folding back over the roof and cracking a windscreen. There's been a little bit of rain but fine and warm (and dusty) today. |

The parade was brilliant, and by chance the Temora Aviation Museum's Spitfire Mk VIII was able to make a diversion via Corowa from Albury to Temora adding a thrill to the event.
Last night as the presentations were held at Ball Park the heavens opened and we had quite a storm. Attached a few frames from the video I've been shooting. Bob Schutt's Ford C11ADF was voted best of show and best Ford by attendees. |

Thank you for posting the photographs of Corowa and the information about the Ford C11ADF being judged the "best of show". Not having come across what a C11ADF before I did a bit of digging and found an auction site from back in 2009 that had a detailed description and numerous photographs of one. I cannot vouch for the vendor's accuracy. http://www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.c...O09&CarID=r119 I have no relationship with the auctions or the vendor. I just found some detailed close-ups taken by Andy Bass of Ford C11ADF, 1941, located at the Canadian War Museum, Accessed 16th of March 2014 from http://svsm.org/gallery/FordC11ADF I wish a safe and trouble free journey home to everyone who attended Corowa this year. Maybe I will be able to visit it in 2015 :0) Kind Regards Lionel |

My blitz finally made it back to Corowa and I had a great time. Now that I am home I have a list of repairs, Replace flange gasket, replace top radiator hose and replace a bolt that fell out of the mirror on the way home. Overall the blitz ran well and only used around fifty litres of petrol and half a litre of oil each way
PS when I left Corowa early last year to attend a wedding who told me to get my priorities right? Hint he did the same this year :rolleyes |
So where is all the photos ???

The grand total of vehicles has now been worked out. 206 and when I have a chance I will let you know the breakdown of vehicle types. With the amphibious vehicles we had 8 GPA's and 1 Stalwart.
I have attached a MLU photo. |

There is nothing like going into NSW to Corowa and doing a little sneaky border raiding while you are there.

There are probably a number of other people whose floor might look like yours.
Our departure from Corowa was a little later than expected after Manfred's GPA fell off the trailer near the main office. Fortunately it didn't happen while on the open road doing more than 20 kms. |

Oop's
I have to admit - I did not take one photo...
Thanks for posting those pictures Darrin, great shot's. I think everyone was on the same page with the Ford Wagon, loved the 'Benghazi or Bust' sign on the side as well... I must admit John Belfields ute ran a very close second in my opinion, Jack and Jake Neville's Fordson is up there too. Drove home Sunday, F60L cruising the distance easily. 20 Degrees C making for a very pleasant journey. Great to see everyone again. A thoroughly enjoyable week as always. |

Attachment 64284 http://www.shedfullofshit.com/images...12/MLU2014.jpg There were (was?) a few MLU members present at Corowa, but failing to show up for the official photo, too! :teach: Please let us all know that you were there in this thread (And be ready to smile in next year's photer!) That way you too will know what the drama was with Keith's "pooofy" shirt! H Oh, Yeah, One more thing... Apologies in advance for any errors in the above photo. Let me know of any and I'll gladly amend them. |
