I missed out on the photo, too busy talking and refining my inability to tell Howard and Tony apart. Certainly not too busy buying at the swap as it was predominatley Jeep related, is there nothing not available for them?
Never took a pic, the one time I actually remembered to have it on me, I had to hang on with both hands (Stalwart ride)

This year we managed to get more promotion than in the past. Prime and Win TV, ABC Goulburn Murray, Border Morning Mail and the Corowa Free Press came over this year. The Best Weekends magazine in the Daily Telegraph promoted our event the weekend before it started and on the main day of the show. We also had Fletch from 'Classic Restos' and when I know the date of his show I will let you know.

Those who were there would appreciate this... I was doing some filming on Saturday night when a storm rolled through.

First pic is Bevan in darkness, then the very next frame a lightning flash filled in the background.

I and my buddy Keith, alias Dunny Brush Head, (That's how he introduces himself) were there for the week with my invisible Dodge WC63 1-1/2 ton 6x6.
The Dodge did the 180 miles each way without a problem.

My father, brother and I had a blast at Corowa and will be there again next year if all goes well. A huge thanks to Michael G for taking me for a drive in his Cab 12. He will hate me saying this but hes a top bloke with a no bullshit attitude which suits him and his truck. Got to meet Tony and his best mate who was also very helpful in answering many of my questions and i mean many many questions(so thanks mate great truck). Got to meet Keith who was busy as hell(was shorter than i thought hahaha) also Howard who i didnt get to have much of a chat which was a shame we didnt catch up until the end of the day. However i think with a little planning over the next 12 months we will make sure that many beers will be had together in 2015. Also Hugh Davies was there as always and plays a big roll at Corowa and has put me in touch with his mate who was more than happy to try and help me find parts for my truck, so a big thanks to those two lads. I took over two hundred photos but most of them were under Tony's Cab 12, however here are a few that i like but will post more if people want. :salute:

Richard Coutts-Smith 21-03-14 09:21

Thanks Graeme, pretty comprehensive look at the Corowa vehicles, we put it to the (totally unbiased ) vote up here and it seems that the Champ was the most stand out of your photo's.......

Willys MA

Hi
Is that the Willys MA that Tom Rolfe? helped to restore ? If it is the same vehicle , I believe it was found in a orchard in NSW some years ago, it had been made into a orchard tractor with a articulating trailer . We do know that when the US forces arrived here in Aust. early 42, they did bring Ford GP's and Bantams etc ..... some of these vehicles were even repaired in Melbourne . Very few of these early Jeeps remained behind after the yanks left . A Ford GP did turn up up near Yea in Vic. the early 1970's ....... because it was such a odd ball thing, nobody wanted it at the time

Yes that's the one Mike. The story is in the Year of the Jeep DVD.

For posting those....

Funny owning, restoring and driving a truck is that you rarely see it from the outside.

Need to sit down with a few beers and just look at it for a few hours.
