British Bicycle Parts

Can anyone help me source this brake linkage? The bike is a 1947 Mercury
military model . Even generic parts if they could be adapted would be fine. Lever brake parts are hard to find in Canada. Picture credit to Online Bicycle Museum. Thanks, Barry |
It's a long shot now, probably, Barry, but in the 1950's Raleigh sold a large three wheel, chain driven, 3-Speed trike here in Canada using a very similar levered front brake. This trike was also sold through the T. Eaton Company at the time under the 'Glider' Eatons brand.
Mine was Candy Apple Green and chrome. David |

Barry,
This link might give you just the parts indicated by your arrows ( listing only shows shipping within Europe). https://picclick.co.uk/RARE-Vintage-...330337894.html Colin |

Barry,
You might try Stuart Bray https://www.stuart-bray-motorcycles....rabike-spares/ He mainly deals in BSA parts, etc. but may have parts for other makes. |
Thanks guys for the links. It seems Apple has disabled some of the search functions on my i pad so Dr. Google doesn't like my terminology. Apple must figure I will want another one right away while I figure I can do without. The battery now lasts 2 hours. I was a little startled to learn that "vintage bicycle" now extends into the 60's. Wow. I will follow up with vendors in the UK.
Thanks again, Barry |
