Artillery Paralleloscope Prism Identification
4 Attachment(s)
I am wondering if anyone can provide me with some extra insight on this piece. It is marked as "Paralleloscope Prism No.1. Mk.2". I have identified that it is used for artillery sighting; could anyone give a brief description of how it is used as well as when it is from and if there are any particular artillery that it would have been used with. Thank-you! :salute:

is this just a later version of the Troop shaving mirror [ Paralleloscope ] as used on 25 Pr s 39-45.

Thanks for the suggestion Ed. The only information that I was able to turn up from that, I unfortunately already knew. I believe that you are right Bob; however, considering the condition of the mirror on mine, It wouldn't be ideal if you are looking to get a clean shave! :)

I ran the NSN 6650-99-900-0859 on the Canadian system. It gave a couple users including Canada, the UK, New Zealand, the US, along with Oman and Austria.
The number went obsolete quite some time ago in our system anyway. No indication what it belonged to. |
Found this website today. Quite a detailed explanation of how these things were used. Maybe it will be of some help.
