Sheesh, and I just passed the 5000 mark . . . should really get a life :o

Vets Dottir 2nd 19-02-08 13:06

Isn't the forum 5 years old almost to the date, about now? (not including the message board type forum that came before vbulletin)

If so, Master Hanno, you're running about a 1,000 posts per year ... :D

Yes, I joined the New MLU Forum on February 7th 2003, the first day it was up and running, as the second member (after Sunray).

I average 2.72 posts per day (sad, isn't it?!?)

And this is not counting endless yappydiyip or double or triple countings because of profile changes :D

Yeah, but you have an excuse, Hanno - you're our semi-automatic Dutch-Canadian Search Engine! :D :p

You and Sunray have done an amazing job at maintaining and funding MLU from your own pockets to keep it happening since day one ... and I'm surprized you two don't have a whole lot more posts in here than you do :p

My yappydiyip variable countings? Would have to go through and count individual posts by me from my first (noted below in my signature) to come up with an accurate number, which would probably double/triple  the base 3000 I added a while ago to my current profile.

BTW ... I noticed that there is a 10,000 MAX for posts for members :D ... makes me want to ask WHAT happens to posting when someone reaches max???

PPS 07-04-08 14:58

Psst - Karmen

David Hayward is catching up with you (by the new post count) :D

Paul.

David_Hayward (RIP) 07-04-08 15:49

Catch-up!

It's been ages since I posted it seems. So, here's another!

I have the enviable job of selecting classic British military vehicle photos for ROADSCENE magazine and as I always need help I shall I hope be increasing my tally vastly!

I have however been a Mod on Chevytalk.com for nine years as of the 10th and still only achieved 4200 posts! Nine years!!

Max hasn't posted THAT much, yet! Besides, half of his are written by Kathy or Emma as hoax "For Sale" ads.

This works out at about the 21st August:D

Will that be a time for  :drunk:  :drunk:

Paul.

Hey, I see a challenge here!

Closest guess submitted by the end of April 08 as to the actual date MLU reaches 100,000 posts wins, er, 100 MLU points and a chocolate ration bar. :thup2:

My guess is that we will see 100,000 posts on 1 Aug 08.

PPS 08-04-08 10:37

100,000 posts date

At the present rate of post, I would say that the "big one" will be reached on the 5th August 2008

Bob Moseley (RIP) 12-06-08 12:22

Hello Grandad

Hi Keefy - I'm at the age when I am deciding what I want to do when I grow up. This could take a while. In the meantime is it me, huh!, huh!.
:sheep: Bob

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 19-09-08 00:44

100 to go...

With this post, 100 to go until 100,000.... pretty amazing for five years! Add in approx 60,000 for the preceding five years, and we KNOW some of you just talk too much! :D

David_Hayward (RIP) 19-09-08 09:21

I.ve been very quiet lately :coffee

now I have got some more to say! :teach:

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 22-09-08 01:03

Well, I guess this is "it", lads... 100,001 posts (on THIS forum only - never mind the 60,000 on the previous iterations)... this isn't about ME, it's about YOU... so from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your trust and dedication!

I am truly blessed to be a part of this, and never mind the hundreds of permanent friendships which have been forged. Now let's get on to 200,000!!

David_Hayward (RIP) 22-09-08 08:48

Well done!
