WS 19 mounting question

3 Attachment(s)
Guys,

While waiting on some parts, I decided to learn how to mount the WS 19 set into the Lynx.

I must say that my knowledge of wireless sets is next to nil. I was very fortunate obtain an original copy of the "Installation Instructions" for the Lynx from Colin Alford.

However it just refers to the mounting assembly as "Carrier No 1". Can anyone confirm that PC 82286 is Carrier No 1 ? This is the mount that is currently on my WS 19.

Thanks, Peter

It should be The PC 82286 is commonly called the Carriers, Sets No.21 ZA 3102/PC 82286

Some manuals seem to use the earlier names of Carriers No1.

The correct one is what you have. The WS19 and the PSU mount side by side on a metal tray.

Thanks

Jordan,

Thanks, now to figure out how it’s attached to the slots on the shelf. I got a jumble of attachment components along with wireless set. Some assembly required. Part of the fun associated with a restoration project.

Hi Peter.

I just had a read over on the installation instructions for the Lynx. Step 3 and 4 cover the mounting of the tray (Carrier no 1). Your tray has the original remains of the centre "U" portion of the shock mounts still attached. The shock mounts I'm sending you will replace the "U" portion of the originals. The bottom of the shock mounts will match up with the slot holes in your Lynx. This is what step 4 covers.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks again

Jordan,

Great. Picture is worth more than what words can portray. What document did you get the illustration from ?

I'm not sure the original source. I found it online via google.
