Just bought a new project.
Ford T16 Carrier.

Stored now in the USA and on its way to The Netherlands within the next months.

Its runs and drives, but want to go for a full restauration.

The plate with serial number.
If anyone can find more info on the history, please pm me.

Congratulations on the purchase!
Good to see you have bought this T16 and would love to see it in Holland in due time...........and in proper Commonwealth markings of course, in stead of the USA markings!

T16 serial numbers

Re. serial numbers, this is what I wrote quite a number of years ago in a T16 thread (which has sadly gone missing due to a database glitch):

Ford Motor Co. built 13,893 T16 from 1943 through 1945:

S/N 1 through 1000 = USA 40113055 through 40114054 ("Prefix FS (Fort Summerville) assigned to serial numbers 1 thru 1000.")

S/N 6176 through 9923 = USA 40138753 through 40142500
S/N 9924 through 14443 = USA 40123864 through 40128383 (some apparently cancelled)

Edit: "Fort Summerville" should of course be read as Ford's Somerville plant near Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I quoted this from another source which I should have corrected.
