Hi Guys,
Information please, Can any one tell me the number of the rear gear box seal Just got mine ready to go into the carrier and I see that its leaking, better to replace it now I think,

Ron.

Ron, see this thread. While described as for CMPs, the Ford parts for the Engine, Clutch, Gearbox, Rear diff and Hubs will also be suitable for an Aussie LP Carrier. Download and save it!

Gearbox rear seal is Chicago Rawhide number CR21211.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the reply regarding the gear box seal, Are they available here in Australia? or do I have to get them from over seas? Thanks.
Ron.

Ron, just measure the seal track on the flange and the bore in which the seal is fitted, and buy one to suit from the bearing shop

Ron.

Most reputable bearing suppliers will have Chicago Rawhide seals in stock. I think CR are now part of Federal Mogul or TRW these days. If they don't have CR stuff (like Speedi Sleeves, etc), they will have a cross reference to NTN or NOK japanese neoprene seals from the CR part no.
