Ebay Enforcing ITAR

I have always been able, in the past, to order military vehicle parts from ebay.com and have the parts delivered to a US border company and bring the parts back myself. But as I attempt some new orders right now, ebay blocks me at either the "buy it now" stage, at the "commit to buy " stage, or else the "pay now" stage. It doesn't even matter if the parts are newly made by aftermarket companies....bidding is blocked.

Not sure if this is going to apply to older military vehicle parts (I am trying to buy for a HMMWV) but since many sellers will list multiple vehicles ranging from M38s up to HMMWV, I think this is going to be a problem.

Supposedly Donald Trump is going to lift a lot of the ITAR controls on Canadians, but we have to see if he lasts long enough to do it.

Man, is this frustrating. I was just able to place an order a couple weeks ago and no problem.

Drop ePay, get some US connections and buy direct:)

I have noticed this lately on Ebay but I am not sure it has anything to do with military equipment. I try to order old civilian car parts, tools, books or whatever to be sent to Australia and I get the "blocked" message.

The common factor is the seller saying he will not post outside USA - look at the postage section on his listing. Sometimes it will just stop me bidding on the item at all while other times it says "Will not post to that destination. Change address" which I do to a USA friend and all is well.

Not the case for this stuff. I have the stuff mailed to a US address.

I get the following message when I try to "buy it now".

I think I have found a partial work-a-round for now, but I am limited on which listings I can apply it to, so I am not getting the best deals. I haven't tried for Jeep parts, or something more vintage, but at the same time, the M-series stuff has commonality from the early 50s right through to today on things like the gauges or the switches, so this new policy will hinder the hobby.
