wireless forum

This is a dream come true, vehicles and wireless. Thank you Bruce for the pictures. I am hoping Harry Moon will visit and upload pictures of my 2K1 with left overs ideas from 2G1. What is the built-in tray on the Al. wheel well for?

Did a remembrance talk for grade 4&5 in Kitwanga, Started with the Canadian ensign, hands on grenades what they look like and why do not touch. This followed the news story of the loaded rocket launcher found on the side of the road. they read the instructions and posed for pictures. Very dumb for adults
(Hi-way crew). police have found live grenades and AK 47's in drug raids. :nono:
Good animal at war stories with excellent questions. yes elephants and camels.

gas masks and why you don't put them on and breathe asbestos and mold and ?? The navy 100th birthday was a hit, one student modeled my pre ww1
navy cabin boy uniform. what HMCS stands for and what the nick names Bonnie.Sue and Maggi were for and the final resting places, artificial reefs, target practice and maybe still a museum

looking forward to showing my wireless truck, both telephony and telegraphy
with full kit. :teach: :support Thanks to Veteran Affairs for the paperwork
and immigration Canada for the Canadian National Anthem bookmarks

The set has found a neat home Ron.... where it should be ..in a vehicle.

Doug Lavoie 18-11-10 05:11

You have my vote.

All my radio`s and parts for the most part, came from a good friend. Radio info. and drawings, from another. Now I just need to figure out how to put it together, and how it works (not that I would use it).

I reckon it would be a valuable addition to the forums ! i want a working 19 set in my carrier. I presume that the radio op, driver and gunner all have headsets and can talk / listen to each other ? if so what better way than a period radio unit :)

military Wireless collection

If you google G4NCE"s Vintage Military Wireless Collection you will find a wealth of pictures of military wireless sets, John.

Ron Pier 05-12-10 17:55

Also google "Wireless for the Warrior". I have Volume 2.
Gary I Managed to buy an 11 set about 12 years ago from Australia. I have only ever seen two British 11 sets. One is in the Signals museum at Blandford Camp. The other one was sold at War & Piece just after I bought mine and fetched £1000 at that time. Please keep me informed if you find one, so that we can swap notes.

Ron.
