Garner 4x4 trucks/tractors

Geoff on the other thread dared to ask for a question no one on this forum would be able to answer. :)
Well, I actually hope someone will answer, but the chance is rather slim.
Here it comes: Vanderveen says the Straussler/Garner 4x4 truck was built (just 53 vehicles) and used by the Brits in North Africa and possibly the Far East. He also says part of the batch was delivered to Turkey. Is this true, were any Garners send to Turkey?

Some additional facts from W&T magazine no 37:

- An order for the Garner G3 was placed by the War Office in November 39 for 45 units, designated as FATs but with GS bodies and open cabs. WD nos H4649210-254.

- Production at Garner's Park Royal works.

- Specialist drivers were needed

- At some point it was decided to hand the lot to the Turkish Govt.

- War Dept numbers ceased to be used after 23 units

- an ex-emplyee states 53 units produced.

- some still in use in British forces by 1945

- one reported in the Far East.

Very interesting. I'd love to see a diagram of the drive line. Must be something else. Wow.
