Saint Barbara's Day

A cut and paste from the Colonel Commandant of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery:

GUNNERS EVERYWHERE;

HAPPY SAINT BARBARA'S DAY TO ALL!
HEUREUSE JOURNEE DE SAINTE-BARBE A TOUS!

The "Guns" are doing great, and getting widespread recognition for theiroutstanding performance on operations.

Saint Barbara is looking over us.

Ubique!

Ernest B Beno, OMM, CD
Brigadier-General, Retired
Colonel Commandant, the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery

Good to hear that the Royal Regiment recognizes BGen Beno's talents.

I didn't see you at the St. Babs bash last Friday, Mike. You are working too hard.

Happy belated St. Babs a vous!

More like avoiding work and too damned good at it... :D

St Barbara's Day

For all you Artillery types who do not know, St Barbara is also the patron saint of Armourers.
So for all you RAEME, RCEME, REME (and others) armourers out there, cheers to you too.
For if it wasn't for us, there would be no guns, (only very large paper weights).....

Actually - as a minor correction to the last post the Patron Saint of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers - the successor to the RCOC (Engineering) Branch through RCEME, LORE, LEME and now EME is St Jean de Brebeuf.

Seems a little backwards to me. If it wasn't for us humble gunners and the guns, there would be no need for tiffys. Cheers!

Tiffys

Rob; further to your last - If you would take better care of your toys there would be no need for Tiffys either!
Cheers, Bill (Tiffy)

Reminds me of the Maint O who lamented our maint record on AD equipment: "If you didn't use them, we wouldn't have to fix them".

Sounds simple in theory...

And we apprecate that knowing that in some cases "simple" is their highest form of intelligence...
