WANTED Tri-Master roof ventillator
Normally found on hard cab Diamond T trucks, but also on a lot of other US-sourced vehicles.
http://www.gwim2.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/dt.jpg I need a salvageable unit, including the inside spring hatch and two bolt mount. Will pay (sigh) postage from wherever. |

Ta!
Richard, thanks, will try.
Sean, panic not, it's for the WD21 which had the same sort of vent fitted on occasion. |

You've already seen the railer photo ...

Note that it has the same cab roof vent. You can put the bag away till next Christmas now. Halftrack parts found yet? |

The ring is an M49 incidentally. I actually hope to see the beast next week. Pictures will be mandatory. Have you mounted the rail kit to the van yet? Or drivetrain and floor? Or are you still gathering peices? Sean |
Good luck with the parts
You might want to scroll through this thread;
http://forum.ww2dodge.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2045 and see if you recognise anything desiarable. Closer to you - at least you could walk there but you'd have tired feet - warmth might make a change though. I've got pretty much all the stuff for the railer, and of course the trailer is done bar wiring it to the truck, though like you some of the railer stuff is on the wrong side of the Atlantic, in this case the seats and floor crossbars. The chassis is altered, and the military rear fuel tank fitted, the rear set of rail gear is mounted and slung, though mounting brackets need to come off for final reinforcement. I'm working my way forward, repairing the body lower sides and internal floor mounting edges, plus mounting the military spare wheel carrier for the side mount spare. I have the 'right' engine for it in stock, though it needs a rebuild. The one engineering point I can't get past (yet) is mounting the winch. I have the MU Braden winch, and chassis extensions, but if I mount the winch chassis extensions and winch at the front AND have the rail gear on the front bumper it'll stick out about four feet in front of the original grille line. I've even considered mounting the winch in the centre of the vehicle, but of course I have to put the 4 x 4 transfer case and shafts there so no go. By the time I've fixed the rest I should have worked it out. Worst case the winch will stay on the shelf and I'll just use the hand winch that's already on the trailer. |
