A question for the Gunners!

Do any of the Gunners on MLU know of a direct contact addess, postal or e-mail, for the Royal Canadian Artillery Association?

I have looked on the web but could see nothing, but there again, I am not as sharp eyed as the Artillery men (creep, groveller, smarmy git are answers I here through the ether :D )

Paul.

RE:- A question for the Gunners

This is actually in connection with Anthea's thread on the "Your Relatives" Forum.

Hi Paul;

Although I'm not a Gunner, try here

Once open scroll down the page about half-way to where it says: "To find out more about the RCAA please contact the webmaster and your query will be forwarded to the appropriate individual."

Cheers

Contact info RCAA

The RCAA Secretary is Col Bernie Brulé, here in Ottawa.

Can I act as intermediary for your query? I'll see him next week.

Ubique! Mike

Re:- Contact info RCAA

Mike,

If you take a look at the post in the "Your Relatives" thread about Thomas Donaldson you should get the gist of what Anthea is looking for, specifically the post from me on the 22nd Jan.

In brief, Anthea is trying to find details of her grandfather, Thomas Donaldson. After she sent me details of Thomas's marriage certificate it turns out that he:-

1. Was in the Farnham, Aldershot area around April 1943
2. Was shown as being in the Royal Canadian Artillery
3. Held the regimental number C40252
4. Held the rank of Sergeant at that time
5. Gave his home address as 418 Albert Street, Kingston, Ontario.
6. Gave his father (George) as being deceased at the time of the marriage.
7. Gave his age as 35 at the time of marriage.

I will also send a PM with a couple of other details about this man.

I know that obtaining details can be difficult, but it was just a thought that the R.C.A.A. could possibly shed some light on this man for Anthea.

Paul.
