A great photo Bob. I am with the Army Museum Keswick where we have just restored to roadworthy a Mk1 Ferret almost completed a series 1 Land Rover and about to start on a Mk11 Ferret. Have been interested in getting Bren Gun carrier to restore. (drove them in Natio in '56 when we took them to Penfield to auction)

Have located a bunch of them In Rockhampton and an investigating transport .

However would like to see if there are any much nearer Adelaide. Condition not important as we like a challenge. If it could be eventually made as good as #5000 that would be our goal.

Anyone on the forum know of any that might be available.

Hi Richard,
The Army museum at Keswick on the outskirts of Adelaide is both a unit of the ADF Army history unit with 4 Reserve personnel and also a private incorporated body with about 60 volunteers. Its website is <http://www.amosa.org.au/index.html>

I have attached a few photos of the L/R below. It evidently was British vehicle bought to the Woomera Rocket Range when atomic tests were being conducted at Maralinga. (No it isn't glowing in the dark) The spent its life on a farm Nth of Adelaide. the owner donated it to the museum for us to restore and make mobile.

cheers
Robin

Would have sent a couple of photos but being new to this forum am not sure if that will happen

Robin, I run a large website called the registry of ex military land rovers. www.remlr.com

Would you be able to let me know what the vehicle's chassis number is for our registry?
