Excellent WW II movie

Has anyone seen the 1942 production of "Commandos strike at Dawn", a story of a "British" commando raid on a German aerodrome in Norway? I was watching the movie and knew deep within my heart that it was filmed in B.C., a conviction that was only heightened as the Germans arrived in WLC's and CMP's, flew Westland Lysanders and Bolingbrokes and the commandos carried a mixture of Ross and Lee-Enfield rifles. Their heavier weapons consisted of Boys AT rifles and Bren Mk I's. Scenes filmed from aboard ship showed a twin water-cooled .50 for AA defence, virtually the same mount I posted the other day which was described as onboard a RCN vessel. Finally, as the camera panned away from their ship, lo and behold, it was an armoured merchant cruiser...unidentified but identical to the HMCS Prince Robert. A quick web search and voila! Filmed at the Heals Rifle range in Saanich B.C. I was suspicious when there was no regimental or national patches on the commandos uniforms. Just a bunch of bloody Canucks making beer money from Hollywood. Anyway, great movie and a great way to see the weapons and kit of Canadian troops during that time.
