Mk1 Wiring diagram

Hi everyone

Ive been working on this the last few days and wanted to get peoples input into how it looks.

I still have a few more things to add. The biggest problem is that the diagrams in the maint manual vs the Instruction book are slightly different. They show 2 ways of how the headlights can be wiried with the toggle switches. The other problem is that both original diagrams show high and low light bulbs. Whereas my lights only have the one bulb.

My only question at the moment is about the tail light. Both diagrams show a return wire but in reality I believe it should only have a "hot" wire with the return as the ground. Can anyone comment on this?

I still need to add the generator, oil and temp gauge.

Earth Return

Yes Jordan the carriers run an earth return, back to a common ground at the back of the light/ ign. switch assy. (which you show)This applies to all the lights.
On the light switch, Your Canadian switch has 1 more position on it than the English version.

Lynn,

Thanks for the feedback on the rear light. Thats what I figured. Either the person drawing the original wiring diagram made a mistake or perhaps very early carriers had a return wire.
