Ebay -WWII-Motley-Mk-V-Anti-Aircraft-Seat
I remember seeing in the softskin forum a thread on these things. Well here is what appears to be the real deal on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/British-WWII-Mot...QQcmdZViewItem no connection to the seller, however if i had the money I would have bought it by now. Best of luck and hopefully it goes to one of us. |
I bought the seat. Now I just have to see if he'll send it to Canada. The listing said worldwide shipping then after I bought it I noticed at the bottom of the listing that he only wants to ship to US addresses. Time will tell. In the pictures it doesn't even look used, but who knows?

Their callin you a yank, yank. I was actually corrected on this decades back by some US soldiers. They quickly pointed out that they were from the other side of the Mason-Dixie line. We meek and mild Canadians of course mean no offense when we use the term. To us it applies to anyone who lives South of the 48th parallel and North of Mexico. Back to the seat. I was very tempted to buy it, but currently do not have a CMP to put it in, and would therefore have to run out to buy one. So I have let this one pass. |
Well, I have 11 CMPs and am trying to get a 1944 C15A Van 2 to add to the collection. That Motley should work in one of them. I have fairly detailed drawings of the gun mount so should be able to fabricate one. If I make a Mk IV mount with a single Bren it would be right for the 1942 F15A with 2B1 body that I'm getting put together.
If I have any trouble with shipping I'll let everybody know and maybe we can arrange something. |
ok i guess i will let that go, its not my place to beat up on you meek eastern canadians, thats what god created quebecikians for :drunk:

The seller got in touch with me and will ship to me for $50 so I'm all set. I can't wait to see it in the flesh.
