Hello Luke,
I have a little question... Is your F15A a 4x4 or a 4x2?
I have the same, but 4x4 and with the 2 different axles, he has been the topic a few months ago on the forum. He is built in 1941 and had been restored by Anthony Sudds.
For the moment i am looking for the big trailer, the cwt 20. Do you know someone who has one?

Greetings,
Kenny

Hi Luke,

Great photos.

Hope you all got home safely last night. After you left we had a surprise flypast by the Battle of Britain Flight, that made Glenn's day!

Alex van de Wetering 21-07-08 23:24

A great collection of CMP's. That C15TA looks terrific in 1CACR markings!

Hmmm, those little 8cwt's....kind of a wee bumper on the brown one.

Kenny Desaever 22-07-08 21:52

hi Luke,

very impressive collection of CMP's! I must say: yours is in perfect condition! I"ll try to come also to Beltring next year. If there is an other Beltring... I got some rumours that the field has been sold, and the organisation is looking to move to an other place?

lynx42 23-07-08 10:09

G'day Luke, (and Dirk for starting this thread.)

Great photo's. We'll be there next year. Already mentioned to a faithfull attendee to keep us a place on their site.

Regards Rick

Guys,
It was good to catch up with so many of you at Beltring 2008. Dan (my son) and I thouroughly enjoyed the whole show
Luke, good to hear that you all arrived home safely on Sunday, and thanks for the kind words on the award that I received. Attached is a picture of your F 15 plus my Matchless.
Richard, apart from making Glenn's day, just as we were going into the main arena for the prize giving, the Battle of Britain flight went over, just as we were moving off, must be one of the most moving experiences I have ever witnessed. One I will never forget. Roll on 2009 !

Hi Keith,

Congratulations on your award for the Matchless, it must be light years since I won it with my M20..........just looked it was 1989 !

The B of B flight was quite a surprise, but a good end to a great show, with good company.

Chris,

Good photos :thup2:

Looks like you visited our camp (where the tyres were) and at a guess, on the Sunday ;) , I did not see you about.

There are two photos on there that are odd ones out.........not Canadian, can you spot them?

zemsi 02-08-08 10:25

Hi Richard

Yes, I only managed to visit this part of the camp on Sunday, a few hours before I had to catch the plane back home. So I was in a little bit of rush. But I was luckily to see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with the Lancaster. Sadly, the Lancaster wasn't in Duxford the week before nor at Farnborough on Saturday (too strong winds).

Hmm, which odd pics do you mean? Keefy's Aussie DVD's? Or the Fox Armoured Car?

Greetings
Chris

Sorry to have missed you, Chris.

The "odd" photos, not CMP / Canadian, were the Dutch owned Humber MkIV armoured car...........the Fox is a copy of it.

regards, Richard

ooops, shame on me  Thought that both would be Fox Armoured Cars. Where can you see the difference? So, i guess the one with the missing gun is the Fox (at least it was written on a badge).

No worries, I'm sure we'll met again next year :kangaroo :kangaroo :kangaroo :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:

Zem..
The machine on the left, with the FOX sign, skillfully placed to hide the front shock sticking up through the front fender is really a Humber..but not good enough...the top of the shock is seen sticking through the fender just above the sign...a poor camo job like that usually gets you killed..

Zero points on AFV recognition, Alex :nono:

The vehicle on left with sign saying "GM Fox"...........is in fact a Fox. The shocker on a Humber is much higher, look at the right hand pic, the petrol cans are in front of it.

Also note the front hubs on the Fox, definitely CMP based ;)
