Barn full of carriers....

What would a barn full of carriers be worth and how hard would it be to peddle them, say 6 or 7 original, unmolested copies???

Barn: 1 X $35,000 = $35,000
Carriers (condition unknown): 7 X $8,500 = $59,500

Total: $94,500

I'm interested in one. The other 6 might take some time. Derek.

Re Chris...

My first reaction was "Oh my...", followed shortly thereafter by "Naw, he's only taunting us..." :D

Having said that, if you have indeed found such a treasure trove, price (as always) will be determined by demand, as well as location & condition. You can't fix a specific figure simply on the "original, unmolested" descriptor, but methinks we'd have little problem moving them if they are more or less complete! I'd like to know more if you care to PM me and maybe I can help... :)

You guys caught me. I apologize. I was bored. Yes I'm taunting you...

It is an interesting thought though, never say never. You guys must have caught the news of the guy in Europe though that had passed on leaving a barn full of antique automobiles, amongst them some of the most rare and desirable in the world.

:fry: :p

BTW, I only asked what a barn full would be worth, a question, not an implied statement of fact. He he he

Chris,
Seeing as to how you were out to central Alberta for a while this summer it wouldn't have been too big a surprise for me. There's one guy around Red Deer who must have several by now but they're not for sale. He ends up with most of the ones that come up for sale.
By the way, did you actually see any interesting stuff when you were out west?

Apparently he was from New York and bought it as a deceased estate for roughly half land value as a retirement block in Portugal
They say value of the vehicles inside came to 35 million dollars
Id say he is now having an extremely good retirement :D

When I was out West I didn't cross anything too exciting. The same thing applies here in Northern Ontario. Seems old tin is drying up fast.

Lots of farm tractors and old pickups and the like in Alberta though. Prices are up from a couple years ago, seems like the older stuff gets the more it turns to gold...
