This truck is a M216CDN and it has stencilled inside the doors a maximum speed for the autobahn.Did all of these trucks have these markings or is this one likely to have served in Germany? It has been in Australia for at least 20yrs and it use to have some markings on the bonnet/hood,I think one was a gold maple leaf in a red square.
Cheers Ken

With fuel prices the way they are, the bigger toys don't seem to be attracting much attention. Seen cheaper Studies than these being ignored, Buyers market I think

chevy ute

The Chevy ute appears to be a standard 46-48 model , with a top chop. You can see how the front guards come into the door panels - and the 46 grill - or remains of. Although Norm Darwin quotes these utes as being built between 1941 and 44 .. and he even provides production figures ( he makes many weird statements in his books ). I or anybody else have never come across one from that period. There are examples from the post WW2 era around - reasonably common.

The 1941 canvas top version was fitted with a austerity body.. masonite over a wooden frame .

Having said all that.. who knows .. it may actually be a rare WW2 built 42 ute .. if it is... it's a super unique car.
