could some body email me a copy please!!!
at bshevlin1@bigpond.com

as i cant download nod32 or avg as i have a bug on my pc and my virus programs cant see it. :giveup

it has limited the use of my internet and operating system  and keeps throwing up random popups and has now disabled my start menu bar

If a bug is limiting your internet use and antivirus programs won't catch it, it's usually a tracking cookie. If you delete all the cookies it will quite often cure the problem.

... I think your host file has been hijacked. Check the entries there

I can also recomment Antivir or avast or try an online virus scanner like trendmicro offers

Sounds like you have spyware rather than a virus. try spybot and adaware (You usually need both to get everything).

Both are free.

I think that guy has had his brain fried from too many 'party' drugs.

Here's how the Brits do it.

AVG Free 8.0 - Download and install it. Then go to safe mode and run it.

If that doesnt kill all the spyware, then go For Spybot Search and Destroy - Again, install, update, and scan. This works well in normal or safe mode.

Lastly, if all hell has broken loose, and your getting nowhere fast, go for Hijack This. Probably a last resort, but run this tool will stop everything from loading at startup. Once run, restart into safe mode/recovery and restore to about a week before you think it started acting up. Maybe more. Restore to that point.

And lastly, hire a professional if your not comfortable waging a small war with your PC.

Good luck,

Brad
