I would say that it is Italian. I think they are Fiats but im not sure as to what kind

Ryan 01-10-08 06:00

It's a Fiat/Spa

I had a quick referal to Vanderveen's "fighting vehicles" and it looks to be a Fiat/Spa TM40 Artillery Tractor.
Hope this helps.

Hello

I just found the pics of a restored FIAT TM 40 . This truck was at a great meeting in NORD of FRANCE but belong to an ITALIAN GUY

The gun towed was made in TCHECOSLOVAQUIA during WWII and used by Italian ARMY

Thanks!

Why the right hand drive on this Italian vehicle?

serge 01-10-08 15:48

Right on drive on itlain truck

Hello

Before , during and after WWII all italian trucks were right hand drive. The explanation was because a great number of roads were very narrow; the second explanation hearded was : because it was more easy to drive the truck on the roads in the mountains.
