Olive Drab in a Dump.....
2 Attachment(s)
Good morning everyone,
a mate recently returned from fieldwork in the Top End (of Australia for all you overseas blokes) and brought me photos of a dump he found while netting for saw sharks on a remote river. {I am finally getting them trained that instead of returning and telling me about rusty stuff they saw - they MUST take photos}. Anyway, this dump has the remains of a Wiles Cooker (Build No. 399) and while scanning the pics I saw a green thing in the lower left corner. See below. This was all very exciting and I had visions of maybe recovering a radio van or workshop body. After a few more looks though, and enlarging the image, I think that it may well be an ACCO truck cab (round hatch in about the right position). What say you all?? |
Quote:
The truck in the first photo is a Bedford SL, made in the 1950's. Would not think it is ex-military, due to a couple of details. Cannot see much else that I recognise. |
I say that's what Intervention should be about. Withold welfare until they fess up the hidden relics rotting away in tips!
No, only joking, Intervention is a serious matter. |
I think you're right with the ID, it does look like a Inter cab roof. How much of the rest of it might still be there?
