Callsign 999

I was told a story today about an Iltis seen with the call sign 999 in east-end Ottawa, Orleans to be precise. The viewer knew Niner means a commander, but thought Niner Niner Niner must be a mistake. Nope. As the vehicle came close, he recognized the big cod himself at the wheel. Retired General Rick Hillier has an Iltis with call sign 999, and he was taking the family out for ice cream!

Fighting a "three block war" demands that a Commander, such as the Big Cod, wears three hats, therefore the triple 9.

(Where's a tongue in cheek smiley, when ya need one?)
