Cliff,
No I didn't report it to ebay. Why? Cause I really wasn't that fussed about it. Harry, I'm not angry about it. I was having a bit of a joke in saying is anyone feeling angry, if so, then go and buy the book, build an RPG and blow something up. A little risky for ebay but considering the wealth of info on the net just a drop in the ocean. |
smiley
Sorry i misunderstood. But I did book mark it

books
I looked at the seller's other items and he also has a book about building grenades. I checked Ebay listing policies for restricted items and books such as this one do not fall under the "restricted" category. Even though it is a book about building a weapon, it is not a weapon. Somebody should report it and see what happens. I would but I am in Canada and am not familiar with the firearms and weapons laws of Australia.

Reported
Cliff - I'm with you and I have reported some of his items to Ebay. Anyone who considers these items fun, knowledge or harmless obviously hasn't been on the receiving end of these devices. This sort of knowledge is what home-grown terrorists build their weapons from. There are enough idiots around without presumably rational people sanctioning the idiots to get their hands on this sort of material.

This is the same sort of things the book shows you how to build http://www.relics.org.uk/productinfo.php?product=245 while you're at it Bob you had better report this firm too :rolleyes |
Don't get angry with Bob! Police attitudes (and community attitudes!) to replica and deactivated firearms around the world vary considerably. In NSW, any replica or toy that resembles a real firearm is classified as a prohibited weapon and possession without meeting certain strict conditions can result in a fine of $10,000 or 14 years Jail. As there is just one category of "Prohibited Weapon" under the legislation, the same same conditions apply to owning a deactivated genuine 7.62mm mini-gun as to owning a plastic toy pistol!
If you don't think 14 years Jail for possession is good for a laugh, try MANUFACTURING a replica firearm. Is this excessive? Ask a Bank Teller (or Liquor Shop attendant, Petrol Station attendant, Pharmacist, or School Teacher) who has been confronted with a replica gun if they were S***ing plastic poo. |
What I am pointing out is tha the book contains NO material that would be used by a terrorists.. besides they prefer to use the real thing which are very easy to acquire.....
Don't forget The "Anarchist Cookbook" has been freely available for years much more useful to your budding terrorist. |
