Boxing day update

It's time for my annual Rub-It-In temperature and gas price post so here goes:

Temp: 83F. (28C for the Fahrenheit challenged)

Gas price: $1.41/gal.

Life is good! Now if I can only get the United States government to recognize Boxing Day as a legitimate holiday I'll have it made! Derek.

zemsi 27-12-08 17:51

... here you go from Switzerland:

Around -1 Degrees (-5 with windchill factor), fuel unleaded is CHF 1.30 (approx USD 1.21) per litre, not per gallon :giveup

Fromm Kandahar Airfield: 17C today and diesel is free if you have a vehicle issued to you. (I do, and it is a diesel guzzling LSVW).

Tony Smith 28-12-08 16:15

From Lithgow:

22 Deg C

Unleaded $1.02/lt, Biodiesel homebrew 41c/lt

Xmas, Boxing day, NYE and New Year's day ALL paid as Public Hols (NYE as a Union agreed trade-off for August Bank Holiday (No "Goodies" jokes, please)).

Meanwhile at Gosford

The Ganmain Holgates are catching up with what is left of our family at Gosford, NSW.
Christmas Day a very pleasant 25'c by the pool & the esky.
Yesterday snuck up over the 30's & more of the same today I expect.
Fuel to get here LPG $0.59/litre, Petrol price from memory just a tad over $1.10/litre??
I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas break more than my liver is.
Tony, at our (small) workplace we swapped the bank holiday for NYE too. WHo says there is no place for individual WPA's??

Harry, did you leave the door open to the U.S.? Overnight the wind changed from the South to the North and we're going from a recorded high temperature yesterday of 84F to a forecast high of only 49F today....BBBBRRRRRRRR! Fortunately, however, the temperature isn't the only thing dropping as gas prices continue to drop here in the Metroplex. I filled up yesterday at $1.33/gal.

Harry,
Just let us know where your son will be and we'll do our best to include him in all that Corowa has to offer.
There are vehicles coming from all over OZ.
Still plenty of camping at either Ball Park or the Airfield.
We do need numbers for the official dinner on the Saturday night and the Civic Reception on the Thursday as well.
Pre-booking will see a great reduction in the meal costs and plenty of goodies in the pack.
Regards
Rick cove
KVE President.
