What's this part?

I've only five body pieces to install on my F8 and have two additional pieces that came with it that don't seem to belong. The first piece is approximately 13" long and 4" wide. The second is approximately 17" long by 5" wide. Below are pictures showing the front and back of each. If anyone can i.d. them, please advise. If anyone is interested in purchasing them, please p.m. me.

Thanks,
Jim

could be

the splash shields on the frame, each side of the motor, attached to the bottom rail, and protects the starter/distributor on the right and the generator on the left.

I've never laid hands on a ford....

You should lay your hands, eyes, ears on a Ford CMP... you'll find it quite rewarding. :D

Keith,
A true believer you are! Anyone who has heard a finely-tuned flathead purring will always be a faithful follower of a Ford. I believe they also (along with Mercurys) were installed in carriers were they not? I notice, too, that those who support that other engine are from Oz, a place where few Fords were shipped......

Regards,
Jim
