Ex-military?
4 Attachment(s)
I came across these shots taken aparently near Dublin, and I would guess around 1955? Are they ex-military I wonder?
|
David,
I think so. The first, third and fourth pictures seem to show Mack NO's, the prime mover for the 155mm gun and 8inch. The second picture seem to be a different model Mack.....NM? NR? I have to think of your Pearsons book which shows some Mack monsters. Alex |
David,
As Alex stated, those are likely ex-military Mack chassis, but the tipping bodies are a civilian addition. The military would not overload their trucks in the way civilian operators do. Hanno |
