carrier tow chains and wire strope

Hi All, has anyone got a pic of an original canadian carrier tow chain arrangement with wire strope, i have serched the forum and found only one pic Jordan has.

Maybe there is a picture in one of the manuals as well?.

Also on the Mk1 there are a couple of small brackets which stick up under the rear armoured battery box POL holder at the very rear of the carrier, what are they for, also dimensions for the jack handle holder please, the oblong box with a strap over the top.

many thanks kevin

The brackets under the battery box are for the Boys monopod. I've sketched up a drawing for the jack bin and will try to scan and post.

nice one bruce.

thanks bruce, i understand there are two bins either end of the jack handle, also the metal frame dimensions for the jack holder are also needed, i think i can get those two mono pod brackets but will need details of the single bracket right under the battery box.

Jack holder

Here's a sketch of the jack holder. The jack itself slides into a wooden pad that sits in this bracket. I have a scale-able photo but haven't attempted making one yet. By the "bins either side of the jack holder", do you mean the two metal boxes on the rear deck (approx. 6" by 4" by 2") that sit on either side and under the battery box? I'll draw up the Boys centre bracket (the one right under the battery box you speak of) and post the results.
