Beyond reasonable doubt?

This is about the C15A Wireless Sigs which I was fortunate enough to have on loan for about a year around 1976.

I've dug out a couple more images of it then with the purpose of comparing it with the one in Sid Beck's museum in Mareeba and I've come to the conclusion it is reasonable to assume they are one and the same, even though some 3,000 miles and 32 years separate the two images.

The mirrors have changed and it's had a coat of paint; the park lights have been replaced and there are a couple of more recent registration stickers, but in other aspects it's the same including the bar inserted in the spring bumper to hold the chain for the spare wheel.

Will find out for sure in a couple of weeks when Belinda and I go to Far North Queensland for 10 days of CMP point generation. (I don't think a simple diversion to a military museum will use too many of them).

Same Truck

Keith ..
There is a little doo-flicky sticking up above the mirror on the passanger side beside the running light..may be an old antennae mount of some kind but they are identical in both pictures..There is no way there can be two identical doo-flicky's like that..
Gotta be the same truck.. :drunk: :drunk:

Same rego. month, there couldn't be too many regested in the same month.
Just remember if you SEE the rolling pin hurtling towards you your points are nearly up, if you don't see it your points have expired. :teach:

What the doo flicky actually is...

Sorry to but in on the post but if I'm not mistaken the antenna base on the side of the truck is a rare porcelain based item used for the Australian manufactured 101 or FS6 Wireless set.

Any comments Mike K?

Cheers

Phill

Keith,

Should be great to be revisiting "your" old truck again. And that "simple diversion" will be well worth all the points you generate during the trip. Yes, I´m afraid your day at the museum is weighed in against her 9 days doing other stuff
