Rob..
Better call in advance and reserve our place by the projector screen..
I'm in Indianapolis and won't be back until after the Sept long weekend..
I got an "excused parade" on compassionate grounds ..new grandson..mom and young 'un doing well and gaining weight like pig..
His older brother will be two on the 15 Aug and old enough to drink beer then so will probably hoist a few with him on his birthday..
Take lots of pix on the big night..If things change and we come back early..I know where it is..
Enjoy your summer..
:drunk: :cheers::remember :support

Perhaps in the late Fall? I could do a slide show on UN vehicles as used on the Creyole side of Hispanolia?

Clive, With you and Alex out the picture, who will be the head Curmudgeon? What will I tell the fair ladies of Gracies? Will I have to sacrifice Gunner to them in your stead?

As for the fall beer call - we will sync our scheds and then make the call. Enjoy the roast dog!

Gawdammit!!Since I am on my third "retirement" job my social life is going right down the tubes!! It has been so long since I have been to Gracies the gals must be well into motherhood by now. Rob, please pass on to all attending my best regards, and do your best to do a recovery on Brother Al and get him out. Great steaks, great beer, great times!!

Sir Willy...
Jeez Uncle Willy....
I'm not in any more..I haven't been "In" since you and I did that stretch in Rockhead prison back in '62....
I'm a changed man...Rust is my nemisis now..and grease...and still have time to keep an eye out for the round and bouncy...
I'm still in Indy at daughters place ..living the high life of in house chef and scullery flunky...
Happy to report the two grandsons, aged two and 0 are alive ..well and can out run me in short bursts ..but I can get the jump on the 0 year old one pretty easy, but the two year old can cover a hell of a lot of ground in a hurry..like chasing geese..How the hell do they run so fast on 2" legs..?????
Let me know if you and Donna are coming up this way..
The boyz in the barn need a little extra foot drill and I figure you are just the lad to whip them into shape..
Especially that blue job..Bowker and his two left feet..
Stay well and post more often..
Brother Al

Gracies

Wish I could join you fellows... sounds like you have a lot of fun.

Maybe we should arrange a tour and bring a bucketload of Aussies to join in. :thup2:

Hang on a moment there Keith. We have our standards (they happen to be very low) and if we were to allow a bucketload of Aussies, complete with unintelligble accent, we could very possibly lose the Girls of Gracies to that gang of foreigners!!

Clive,

As long as they are all named Bruce, and they remember rule number one, we should be alright. Since Bill, Alex and you will be absent, there should be lots of double X chromosomes to go around...

servicepub (RIP) 22-08-09 22:29

Seeing as I am only interested in the triple-x type....

Ah yes, but I thought you were the ones with the funny accents... that's the way it was both times I was there. :D

Perhaps I should have used the word 'shower' of Aussies rather than 'bucketload' to more accurately describe us.

We'd bring plenty jars of vegemite as gifts for the Gracies girls. I'm sure that would win their affections. :p

Accents?

When Brits/Aussies/Kiwis sing, they sound just like us...therefore, they have the accents - which, by the way, the gals at Gracies get "slippery" over...

It's On!

I have no idea of how many will attend Gracies tomorrow night, so we will sit where we fit! Cheers!

Gracies Summer Beer Bash

We did not set any attendance records for the last Beer Call, but those who showed up enjoyed themselves immensely. Don Dingwall, Grant Bowker and I held the high ground while waiting for the stragglers to arrive. We chatted about things CMP when not distracted from the beauty that bounced before us at every turn. Gracie's girls were wonderful as usual.

I am not a spiteful person, but I refuse to post the photos of the Gracie's lovelies because Bob wasn't there. If Bob couldn't enjoy the view(s), then I feel it necessary not to show anyone else.

Gunner and his band of merry men and ladies arrived a little later in the evening after having convoyed themselves from Kars to the Aviation Museum for the Air Rallye Weekend. I'll leave it up to Gunner to discuss the S&P Museum's activities.

A shot of the S&P team: Gunner's dome is visible on the right of the photo, and Grant can be seen at the top left.

At 9PM, we old folks saddled up and rode off into the rain. A subdued ending to a subdued meeting...

The Rotters Morale Officer will be suitably chastised.
