English truck ID please.
 
Came across this pic supposedly of a Humber One ton at the AWM, is it actually a Morris FV16101 ?

A Private J Hedges gets a credit in both shots. wonder if there is a connection?

Members of Support Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) packing ammunition and stores into a Humber one ton truck (57 84 BF 68), in preparation for their move deep into the jungle of Southern Kedah. There they will make base camps for operations against the Communist terrorists. The soldiers have been patrolling the jungle vigorously for almost two weeks. Identified is Private Jack Hedges of Cessnock, NSW (left).

Men of A Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), gather together in small groups for a chat in a rubber plantation after being separated to search heavy jungle in pursuit of Communist terrorists in Southern Kedah. There are some Number 5, Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE), jungle carbines leaning against the closest rubber tree. The vehicle in the centre is a Humber one ton truck and the vehicle to the right is a GMC, CCKW-353 two and a half ton truck. There is also a Number 4 Jeep trailer attached to a Jeep at the extreme left.

Hi Rich,

I am 99% certain that the truck in Pics 1 and 2 is a Morris Commercial MRA1, as you say. The picture is really too small to get detail from, but going on the registration letters, BF fits with a Morris, the Humber used later letter groups.

Most dissapointed to find that the only listed Humber photos in the Australian war museum are in fact a Morris.
Finding it very difficult to get any info at all on the Aussy Humbers, but will keep digging.
