What makes you think it is an NR? Could it be an NM5 with closed cab added? I say NM as Bart's 'A Record of Military Mack's in the Services and beyond' shows almost all NR models without the behind cab winch while the NM had the winch.

Cliff your right ,it's not an NR but an NM. (You got your fingers mixed up there Mate.).

I have corrected likewise thanks. I can't recall if the NM series were 6x4 or 6x6.

NM is 6x6, and Petrol engine , NR is Diesel and 6x4

3 wheels on my wagon
1963 Model Reliant 3/25...used the Reliant all-aluminium 750cc derivative of the Austin 7 engine. You could drive one a m/c licence as though it was a m/c plus sidecar combo but strictly speaking if reverse was blanked-off...car licence holders had no such restriction. The loonies that drove it went from London down to Devon in extreme conditions via Salisbury Plain. The snow was unbelievably high in places. The temps never rose above freezing that winter between December 1962 and end March 1963. It snowed Xmas Day I remember. We had a blizzard in west London near Heathrow Airport one day!
