Bobbed 2 1/2 Ton 6x6
This conversion seems to be the flavour of the day in the US. I don't know if it because of road tax, licencing, simple creativity or herd mentality. If it is a personal vehicle, you are free to do what you choose.
Knowing your troubles with plating these vehicles, are you able to claim this is no longer a Cdn military pattern 'scrapped' vehicle? |
I wish I could say that,

MLVW's to U.S.
Seems odd to read here, that you will try and export MLVW's to the U.S.A.. When on the Steelsoldiers site there are people becoming manic depressive's trying to figure out how to import American M35's into Canada.
Could a single rear axle truck be, easily altered, too a dual circuit brake system and then be plated as "home built" like a car? |
Yes the dual brake system

MLVW EIS tools - need some?
A day without scrounge is like a day without sunshine.
One of the (few) perks of my job is to park inside the fence at a Reserve barracks in Ottawa, where there is a large dumpster ... As is my habit, I spotted a plastic milk crate with a dozen or more MLVW tire wrenches, a jack handle, some storm front panels and a few long bars I don't recognize. Anyone need parts? The other junk in the dumpster includes busted furniture, out-dated Cadet training syllabuses, pallet lumber, small sized boots and navy uniforms. The week before they had expired and mouse-contaminated Halal/Vegetarian/Kosher combat rations. I've also pulled empty Fat Fifty ammo cans. |
