Machinery Lorry "Lindsay Structure"
Hi
The ATDB history records that some of the CMP machinery lorries had a Lindsay house body. Can someone please suggest a reference or describe the Lindsay structure? Was it different to the all steel van body? Thanks Doug |
Doug,
The Lindsay body is well illustrated in the AEDB 8-volume (or later 2-volume) reports. I will send you some stuff tonight. Clive |
Doug,
The pictures are examples of the Lindsay house type body. It comprises a steel frame with steel panels screwed on. They came in various shapes and formats, incl. workshop, stores, ambulance etc. HTH, Hanno http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data...tje12296_3.jpg http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data...02-1945_2_.jpg http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data.../p1010230b.jpg |
