A Gift

Hi guys and gals, well this dont happen every day.
my dads cousin comes to me at work on monday and says to me "do you want my Model A"
I say can not afford it,he says no do you want it! free!!!.
I am really blown away and sort of humbled as well.
It is a 1928 Model A roadster, restored etc.
He did not need the money, but wanted it to go to a good home,to someone who will look after it and use it.He has no close family, apart from an older brother(both ww2 vets).
so they are in their late 80s and early 90s.
Of course i said yes please, and took a lotto ticket!,when i finally get it home i will post some photos of it,cheers humbled Ken

Well people, the old fella changed his mind !,i suppose he had to be sure and if he had second thoughts it was best before i got the vehicle!!!!
He said he should have thought more about it before asking me if i wanted the car, witch is right i suppose.
Except now i am utterly gutted, but life goes on and i have moved on as well.
My partner and i have decided to eventually buy another MV in the near future, maybe a land rover v8?.

bugger

Bugger, but think of it this way. No loss really as you never had it.
Even stevens.

Ken

The man must have looked at your CMP, and thought you were doing a great job, so in a round about way, he has paid you a great compliment. Even though you've missed out on the car, Who knows, If you have treated him right, he may yet change his mind again. After all, he cant take it with him.
Without it, you still have room in your shed for the vehicle that you really want.
