Can anyone please photograph their carrier preferably a canadian Mk1 with original armour on..... i need reference shots of where the side armour meets the center divider where the 90deg angle irons are, i have a query as the main bulk of this plate is 5mm, there is the 8mm squares which rivet onto this plate therefore there must be some sort of allowance for the 8mm to slide between the 90deg angle uprights if you get my meaning ? can anyone assist me ? i would like shots taken of both sides of the carrier close up from the drivers cockpit side and the rear side...... and again both sides on the gunners side of the carrier

thanks in advance for your help guys

Richie

Hi Rich, when you come down at easter bring your camera as I have the mortar carrier stripped down now ready for grit blasting.

Kevin.

hi mate this was the mk1 we stripped for parts and kept the pannles for pattens not a lot else you could do with it apart from grow a few more plants in it.!!!
ps have made you a set of the gun brackets on the inside of the hull :salute:

Iam not sure but i think this was a mk1 upgraded to a mk2 as the holes for the gun rests along the top side and rear armour were just bolts and the top of the bulkhead has been changed i have also noticed the hols for the smoke discharger bracket on the side. she has a lot of history shame most ended up like this.

i looked for number on the hull but could not find any how ever there is a couple of extra holes in the lower gunners front armoure again with just bolts in to blank them i have been told they were for when they had a boyes rifle for the cleaning rod brackets? the cast parts were all dated 1941.
