Tumut clearing sale
5 Attachment(s)
I went to a sale at Tumut today and there was a F60L there,no plates on it.Restoration had started years ago and never finished, it made $1200.00 in two bids. I was told Ganmain Tony would like to see a couple of pictures as it was a portee (? spelling).
I'll post more pictures when the clouds clear this has taken 2 hours :bang: |

Other than that it's good buying, especially if the engine is OK, and the roof hatch looks unusually sound too. The roller on top of the chassis should have been underneath. Thanks for the photography and painstaking uploads Robert! |
Thanks Keith, I was just thinking the roller was up to get the cable above the chassia for pulling the gun up the ramp now I have to find out how it was actually done :coffee :coffee
The cab was in a shed with the tail out for years, din't know about the engine it had not been turned over for years but at least there was no water in it. |
Sorry Ive taken so long

It answers a question I did not know the answer to. My truck has this roller modification on it. We werent sure if it was a Holgate special or something done at Holden's bodyworks. It know seems this was a standard alteration they did to Portees changed to general service and fitted with the big winch underneath the vehicle. Would have loved to have been there - but the Batemans Bay Anzac parade was the main goal this year. (& Corowa with all you fine fellows of course!!!) |
cab
Keith the cab looks to have an early front on it and the roof has those extra ribs on the inside that make it a latter roof
