Ford 60 L Sunroof
2 Attachment(s)
The picture is a F60 L fitted with a crane lifting a C15 Chassis .
The late model cab of the Ford has a large sunroof which appears to be original . When did the sun roofs start to appear on Blitz's both Chev and Ford ? Regards Jim S |
Sunshine roof
The Australian sunshine roof was used in the main on 15cwt blitzes although the prototype C60S No6 Arty tractor had one.
Generally if you see one on a long wheelbase the chances are the roof came from a 15cwt version. Both Holden and Ford made them. Quote:

sunshine roof
Hey Jim,
I don't believe the roof hole shown is a sunshine roof, I think its home made and not uncommon to yard cranes. |
Hello Jim,
I had a Chev C15A years ago with a sunshine roof but I seem to recall that it had a central support rib welded between the front and back walls of the cab. That particular vehicle, along with many other blitz projects went to the members of the Sydney and Melbourne clubs back in the late 90's... Cheers Phill |
Blitz sunroof
Thanks for your replies .
It is possible that it is a modification , if I get the chance I will take some pictures close up , it was well made and finished off. Regards Jim S. |
